- The Grade 2 Cammo shirts for making their own gilly shirt to keep are £3.00 each (payable on the day)
- The Black Opps Dogtag for the ceremony is £3.00 (payable on the day)
What happens about food?
-
From previous experience we now provide the food for late afternoon snack, dinner and Breakfast. We have in previous years had children bringing their own food in, this is not only hard to store in the warmer weather, but sometimes they eat their food earlier in the day and have minimal left by dinner time and we can not have hungry soldiers! We now provide the food for this for an additional £5.00 per child.
What food is included?
-
We provide a food pack for an additional £5.00 per person that covers Late afternoon snack, Dinner and Breakfast. This is payable on Day 1 at registration.
-
Day 1 they bring a packed lunch from home
-
Day 2, they bring a packed lunch from home. We then provide a 1/4lb burger (Veggie burger option available), and drink around 4.45pm after the day missions are finished. They then will prepare dinner using our outdoor kitchen and fire, this is usually vegetable curry or stew, with rice and bread and then desert. Hot chocolate and Cream & marshmallows.
-
Day 3, Breakfast consisting of sausages (Veggie sausage option available), beans and toast or a range of cereals & milk with orange juice.
- You are welcome to supply your child with food in addition to this if you wish to, including any late night treats and snacks they may want to have. This will stay with your child’s equipment.

Where do they sleep?
- The children can bring their own tent (that is suitable for the number of people staying in it, unless they do not mind others sharing it), or they can sleep in one of our Base camp parachute shelters we will put up especially for the event.
What Equipment do they need for Day 2?
- Lunch for Day 2
- Tent – but only if they have one already as Base camp shelters will be up.
- Sleeping bag and Pillow (pillow optional)
- Spare set of clothes (in case they get wet or muddy)
- Clothes to go home in
- Suitable footwear, walking boots or trainers
- Spare socks
- Waterproof coat
- Baby wipes
- Bowl
- Cup
- Plate
- Knife, fork and Spoon
Do they have to have the Dogtag and Cammo Shirt?
Yes, this course is slightly different from our laser days where the dogtags are optional. This Camp Commando course is a challenging course where they will be undergoing a black opps night battle. As it is not for the faint hearted we believe all commando’s at the end of this course should be awarded the Black Opps Tag which can only be earned on this course. There will be a mini-ceremony on Wednesday morning at 10.20am to present these to the troops which we hope you can attend. The cammo shirts are for the children to make their own personal gilly shirt for the cammo and concealment workshop and they also get to use this during the course and to take home and hopefully use in future adventure days.
Do we need disclaimer forms?
Yes both the player consent and registration form are required for this activity.
